My take on this is that as long as you get the right shade of red, no matter your complexion, you would look fabulous...red is a very risky color and...i don't like to say not everyone can pull it off, cus i don't believe that if you try u can't..a lot of celebrities have rocked the red lips really well, regardless of their complexion...i personally love ruby woo by mac cosmetics, mac lipsticks are very affordable..most of them are $14...i have on ruby woo in the pic below...most of the time you need a lip liner so its perfect..also i would say your foundation has to be on point, especially if you don't have smooth skin..cause you want that airbrush, perfect finish..i personally don't use foundation (thank God for good skin) and i don't use a lip liner..so if you can get away with it then..good...one more thing when u have red lips you want to go lighter on your eye makeup and cheek makeup so u don't look like a clown..a brown/natural eye color and bronze blush would do the trick..u can click on the link below for a makeup tutorial video on how to wear red lipstick (it was the best i could find)
